Snowflake Obsidian Tumbled Stones

Distinctive Snowflake Obsidian tumbled stones in extra-large sizes. 

The greyish-white markings in this type of obsidian are inclusions of spherulite. These radiating needle-like crystalline fibres occur in certain igneous rocks, particularly those with a vitreous lustre.

A cavity, or a quartz or feldspar crystal can usually be found at the centre of each spherulite. 

Obsidian is volcanic glass formed from lava that cools quickly on the surface. Due to the speed at which it cools, there's little time for crystals to grow.

These Snowflake Obsidian crystals are a large tumbled stone, but size can vary from piece to piece.
