Colourful pendants featuring cabochons cut from some of the most popular rocks and minerals.
Crafted by hand in fine sterling silver by a small team of artisans.
A cabochon is a gemstone with a smooth, rounded, upper surface and a flat base.
The word comes from the French 'caboche' meaning 'small dome' or 'rounded head'.
The preferred cut for certain gemstones is cabochon because it enhances optical phenomena such as chatoyance, asterism and play of colour.
In opaque stones or those that are only slightly translucent it enhances colour and patterns.
Some gemstones are cut as a cabochon simply because they're too soft or brittle to be faceted.
