Colourful Noreena Jasper Pendant
A highly polished Noreena Jasper pendant crafted in a fine sterling silver setting.
Noreena Jasper is a variety of mudstone from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Its colour comes from iron oxides. The Pilbara region is known for its red-coloured earth.
Limited information exists regarding the chemical composition of Noreena Jasper. It appears to be almost identical to Munjina Stone, which is mined by an Australian rock dealer, but the exact location of the deposit has been kept a well-guarded secret.
Munjina Stone is believed to be 2,765 to 2,687 million years old.
