Larimar AAA Grade Gemstone
A truly spectacular fine grade larimar gemstone from our collection of rocks and minerals.
This stone was cut for us from a rough piece of rock that we purchased.
It exhibits exceptional colour and markings.
The top and edges have been finely polished whilst the base is unpolished.
Although it appears to be opaque this larimar gemstone is actually translucent.
Larimar can only be found in the Las Filipinas mine in the Dominican Republic.
Only a small quantity of material is exported. The vast majority is sold (mostly to tourists) within the Dominican Republic. Stones tend to be quite small and are mostly used in jewellery.
