The colour of this relatively rare variety of quartz can vary depending on where it's mined. While citrine is often believed to have a distinct yellow hue, it can range from pale yellow to orange to brown.
Diaphaneity in these crystals varies from highly translucent to almost opaque, depending on inclusions.
Although classed as a medium-sized tumbled stone, size does vary from piece to piece. This is common for stones produced in a rock tumbler.
