Chunky Lemurian Quartz Crystals
Lemurian is a type of quartz found in limited locations in South America. It was discovered in the early 1990s.
The crystals often (but not always) exhibit distinctive horizontal striations on one or more faces. These tend to be used as an identifying characteristic but are not always present or noticeable.
Lemurian quartz is said to be connected to the mythical kingdom of Lemuria.

These two chunky lemurian crystals are rough/unpolished. Number 1 is virtually transparent and free from inclusions. 2 is transparent towards the tip of the crystal but inclusions then cause it to become translucent. The distinctive mineral inclusions make it a particularly interesting piece.
