Imperial Jasper Cabochon
This imperial jasper gemstone has a very small chip on one corner. It can be seen in our third photo.
It's therefore being sold at a reduced price. It cannot be seen from the top of the cabochon.
The stone which has been finely polished and exhibits a vitreous lustre has reddish-brown colour with subtle but distinctive markings.
Imperial jasper is a type of porcelain jasper that has only been found in Mexico.
Discovered in the late 1990s it's mined close to the city of Guadalajara.
