Natural Smoky Quartz Crystals
Genuine smoky quartz crystals from Brazil.
All twelve of these terminated crystals were individually chosen by us for our collection. Some are more translucent than others. They're rough crystals with a natural termination.
Smoky quartz is one of only a few black or brown minerals from which gemstones can be cut. Known for its large crystals, smoky quartz occurs in several countries around the world.
It's known to fade when exposed to excessive heat or prolonged UV light.
Smoky quartz forms when natural radiation within the Earth interacts with aluminium impurities in quartz, creating the characteristic grey to brown colour. This process occurs over long geological periods as the crystal develops in its host rock.
