Pyrite Crystal Brassy Yellow Colour

Isometric or cube-shaped crystals are one of the simplest and most common shapes found in crystals and minerals. The atoms within the crystal structure of pyrite are arranged in a repeating pattern that forms a cube shape. This is the reason for cube-shaped crystals.

Its brassy-yellow colour earned pyrite the nickname Fools Gold.  Some say it came about because during the great American gold rush prospectors mistook pieces of pyrite for gold.

When used for its metaphysical healing properties pyrite is said to be highly protective.  It's believed to shield those who carry it from negative energy and negative influences.

Pyrite is often used in crystal grids and other energy work to help create a positive and protective energy field.  It can also be used in meditation because it helps enhance focus in order to achieve a deeper state of relaxation.

The crystal faces of this pyrite cube have a metallic lustre and are highly reflective.
