Thulite Tumbled Stones - Beautifully Polished
Beautifully polished thulite tumbled stones from Mozambique.
Thulite is a pink variety of zoisite whose colour comes from manganese.
The colour of thulite, which is natural, can be enhanced when stones are polished.
These premium-grade stones are predominantly grey with a subtle greenish tint, possibly from the presence of epidote. This green mineral often occurs alongside thulite, hence can influence its colour.
Subtle black markings and a more prominent splash of pink make these polished thulite stones particularly striking.
They're larger-sized tumbled stones, but size does vary from piece to piece.
Most thulite from Africa is mined by artisanal or small-scale miners.
These thulite tumbled stones have an exceptional polish, which enhances their ability to reflect light and makes them incredibly tactile.
