Polished Septarian Stones

Septarian is a naturally formed nodule known for its distinctive pattern of yellow calcite and aragonite within a darker limestone matrix.

Each piece is entirely unique, shaped by geological processes that took place millions of years ago beneath ancient seas.

Although visually striking, septarian is relatively soft, so must be handled with care. Minor imperfections are not uncommon. 

These septarian nodules have been finely polished to a vitreous lustre. Both stones have a minor indentation in the yellow calcite.
