Rose quartz is a pink variety of quartz used mostly for decorative purposes and its metaphysical healing properties.
When used as a gemstone, rose quartz is rarely faceted because, when cut, it has a slightly cloudy appearance.
The stone's varying shades of pink have long been attributed to impurities of iron, manganese, and titanium. However, a fairly recent study cast doubt on whether these chemical elements were really responsible for the stone's colour.
These rose quartz crystals are a medium-sized tumbled stone, but as with most stones produced in a rock tumbler, size can vary from piece to piece.
