White Quartz Crystals - Beautifully Polished
Premium-grade white quartz crystals, carefully chosen for our collection of rocks and minerals.
White quartz, also known as snow quartz and milky (or milk) quartz, is one of the most common quartz varieties.
The stone's cloudy or milky-white appearance comes from microscopic fluid inclusions or gas bubbles that become trapped in the crystal as it forms. These impurities scatter light, giving the quartz its distinctive milky-white, opaque appearance.
The presence of these inclusions can vary, causing different degrees of cloudiness or opacity. In its purest form, quartz is colourless and transparent.
White quartz can often be found as phantoms within other quartz minerals, particularly colourless and translucent varieties. It's sometimes described as imperfect because some believe its cloudy appearance spoils what would otherwise be an almost perfect crystal.
White quartz is used primarily for decorative purposes. It's sometimes mistaken for white moonstone, but although the colour can be similar, it doesn't exhibit iridescence.
These finely polished white quartz crystals are a larger-sized tumbled stone, but, as with most stones produced in a rock tumbler, size can vary from piece to piece.
We also have white quartz tumbled stones in a smaller size.
