Opalite is a wonderfully attractive iridescent glass whose appearance has been likened to opal or moonstone.

Opalite is often marketed as a healing crystal, but it's worth noting that it's synthetic.

The majority of opalite is manufactured in China.

How is Opalite Produced?

The process of manufacturing opalite begins with molten glass combined with minerals and metal oxides. This creates the colour and iridescence.

Once the mixture has cooled, it's cut and polished.

While opalite may not have the same healing properties as a natural crystal, it's a striking decorative material. Its iridescent glow and soft blue hue make it ideal as a decorative stone.

These large opalite stones are the nicest pieces we've ever had. They're highly translucent and exhibit exceptional colour.
