Carnelian Crystals from Botswana

Colourful translucent carnelian crystals, highly polished and incredibly tactile.

These crystals are a smaller sized tumbled stone although size can vary from piece to piece.

When used for their metaphysical healing properties carnelian is a stone of power.  It protects the aura against psychic attack and negative energy.

The late Judy Hall author of the Crystal Bible recommends carnelian be used to clear the sacral chakra.  Also known as 'svadhisthana' in Hindu Tantrism, this chakra is the energy field for emotions, deep feelings and for stimulating pleasure.

The sacral chakra is responsible for creativity, unleashing desire and boosting confidence.

In the ancient world crystals were used as 'prescriptions' for improving health.  According to some records carnelian, bloodstone and green aventurine are the three earliest stones to have been used for this purpose.

Carnelian crystals were recommended for cleansing and restoring liver and kidney function.  Today in crystal healing some practitioners still recommend these same three stones.
