Carnelian is a variety of chalcedony, whose colour can vary from a deep red to reddish-brown to various shades of orange.
The colour of carnelian comes from iron impurities, mostly hematite.
These raw carnelian stones have excellent colour. Apart from being cleaned, they're relatively untouched.
