These orange calcite stones exhibit excellent colour and have a waxy to vitreous lustre.

Although rough, this calcite has been coated with a fine, colourless resin, which offers some protection against flaking and crumbling. 

Calcite is a very soft mineral, so must be handled carefully. Calcite should not be submerged in water, because over time it will break down.

Being rough stone, the size of these orange calcite stones varies slightly, but they're mainly medium to large.
