Calcite, which is soft and fragile, can be transparent to opaque. In its purest form, calcite is white or colourless.
In honey calcite, impurities of hematite in its crystal structure are responsible for its colour.
Calcite is allochromatic, which means its colour is always caused by something outside of its natural chemical elements.
This honey calcite is rough stone, and the size of each piece does vary.
