Bumblebee Jasper Stone Spheres
Beautifully polished, finest grade Bumblebee Jasper spheres.
Bumblebee Jasper is a sedimentary rock with distinctive colour and markings. The yellow comes from sulphur.
Bumblebee Jasper, which can only be found near Mount Papandayan, Java, Indonesia, is relatively rare.
Despite the name, it's not a true jasper. Bumblebee Jasper is a trade name for a calcite-rich sedimentary rock.
Formed from volcanic ash, mud, and sulphur-rich layers, Bumblebee Jasper also contains realgar, an arsenic sulphide. However, once polished, it's completely safe to handle.
With most known sources now depleted, this grade has become increasingly difficult to find.
Both spheres were carefully chosen for our collection.
