Rose quartz is one of the most popular crystals used for its healing properties. It's associated with matters of the heart, tranquillity and friendship.
Being associated with the heart chakra makes rose quartz incredibly soothing.
These rose quartz crystals have been highly polished to a vitreous lustre, meaning they reflect light in a similar way to glass.
Although classed as a medium-sized tumbled stone, size does vary from piece. This is common for stones produced in a rock tumbler, as opposed to those cut and polished by hand.
Stones that have been cut and polished by hand come mostly from China and India. Although often described as tumbled stones, they tend to have a more uniform and ‘perfect’ appearance than actual tumbled stones. Shapes are usually round, oval, or like a dice.
Tumbled stones produced in a rock tumbler mimic the natural process by which stones are shaped and smoothed through repeated contact with sand, water, and movement. Weights and sizes vary from piece to piece because of how they're produced.
