Chrysocolla Crystals Superb Colour
Gorgeous chrysocolla tumbled stones produced from material mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Chrysocolla is a soft and fragile mineral so must be handled carefully. On Mohs scale of mineral hardness it grades 2.5 to 3.5. When combined with quartz it can be considerably harder. This material is easier to cut and polish because it's not as fragile.
The tantalising colour of these chrysocolla crystals varies from green to cyan blue.
Chrysocolla which occurs in and around copper mines is a minor ore of copper. It's often associated with quartz, malachite, azurite, turquoise and other copper minerals.
When used for its healing properties chrysocolla has a calming peaceful energy. It brings harmony and wisdom and the ability to think clearly during turbulent times.
The colour in chrysocolla is not always stable. For this reason stones should not be placed in direct sunlight.
The size of these tumbled stones varies from piece to piece. Some are smaller than others. They're classed as a medium sized stone.
Chrysocolla in this grade is not easy to find. We only have a limited number of stones left available. All of the pieces we have can be seen in our last photo.
