They have a smooth, silky texture that makes them incredibly tactile and a slightly more rugged appearance that enhances the stone's natural characteristics.
These Amazonite stones have a subtle smell that resembles crayons, which I've been told comes from the wax used for polishing.
Amazonite, also known as Amazon Stone, is the blue-green variety of the mineral microcline, whose colour comes from lead.
Although classed as extra-large tumbled stones, size does vary from piece to piece.
For smaller quantities, we'll choose larger stones (subject to availability), but for larger quantities, sizes will be mixed.
