Picasso Marble Gemstone

Picasso marble is also known as Picasso stone and Picasso jasper. Picasso jasper is a misleading trade name because it's not jasper.

This distinctive stone is a metamorphic rock found in just a few places around the world. Used primarily for decorative purposes, its colour and markings make it particularly unique. It has an incredibly smooth texture.

We have been led to believe Picasso marble was named after Italian artist Pablo Picasso. This is apparently because of its abstract-like patterns.

Although the surface of this picasso marble stone does reflect some light it's minimal.
