Blue Lace Agate Ysterputs Namibia

Blue lace agate from the Ysterputs mine in Southern Namibia is becoming increasingly rare.  The deposit has been closed for several years so most material that's available comes from collectors and dealers. 

Some artisanal mining is now being done but only on a very small scale. 

Although blue lace agate can be found in a few other African countries, the finest material comes from Southern Namibia.

This beautifully polished blue lace agate stone has distinctive colour and striking markings.  It's wonderfully tactile and a piece you'll love having as part of your collection. 

We currently have a small collection of rough and polished blue lace agate but pieces like this are not easy to find.
