Description

Chunky Lemon Quartz Gemstone

A large, lemon quartz gemstone from Brazil. This stone has been faceted, so it reflects light from almost every angle.

Lemon quartz does not occur naturally, so most stones are amethyst, smoky quartz, or low-grade citrine that has been heated.

The beauty of lemon quartz is that it's far more affordable than many other varieties of quartz, allowing the production of much larger gemstones.

Lemon quartz is sometimes mis-sold as citrine. A natural citrine gemstone of this size would be extremely rare and, if found, would command an exceptional price.
