Square Citrine Pendant Crafted in Sterling Silver
This pretty citrine pendant was handcrafted by a small team of artisans with whom we worked for many years.
The gemstone, which is heated amethyst, has a rich colour and excellent clarity. Some colour zoning is visible, which is a typical characteristic of amethyst but rare in natural citrine.
Heated amethyst, also known as amethyst citrine, is widely accepted as a replacement for natural citrine due to its rarity.
This citrine pendant is being offered at a reduced price because it is not hallmarked. Our pendants usually feature our own SM hallmark from the London Assay Office. However, the last time we had pendants hallmarked, one batch was missed.
As we are no longer having jewellery made, we decided not to incur the expense of hallmarking.
Under the Hallmarking Act 1973, silver jewellery below 7.78 grams does not need to be hallmarked.
This citrine gemstone has a scalloped edge and a concave cut, which reflects light outwards from the centre of the stone.
