Natural Citrine from Brazil - AAA Grade
Beautiful natural citrine crystals from Brazil, tumbled in South Africa.
These highly translucent stones boast exceptional colour. Some are more translucent than others. No two pieces are the same.
Natural citrine is relatively rare, so most commercial-grade stones are heated amethyst or smoky quartz.
Although citrine is often expected to be yellow, the shade can vary significantly.
The exact cause of citrine’s colour is still debated. Most research suggests it’s related to trace amounts of aluminium in the quartz, combined with natural radiation. Iron may also contribute, but its role is not yet fully understood.
These AAA-grade natural citrine crystals are available in three sizes. Some are shaped like a traditional tumbled stone, while others are long and slender.
In this grade, we were only able to obtain a relatively small quantity.
