These agate stones have been tumbled from material mined in Botswana. They have an incredibly smooth texture, and, once in your hand, it's difficult to put them down.
In its purest form, agate is either white, grey, or bluish-grey, but various impurities cause a wide range of colours. Agate is best known for its characteristic banding, although not all agates are banded.
The structure of the mineral agate is microcrystalline, which means its crystals are too small to be seen with the naked eye.
On the Mohs scale of hardness, agate grades 6.5 to 7, so it's fairly hard but also brittle.
These gorgeous pink agate crystals are larger-sized tumbled stones, but size does vary from piece to piece. Some are closer to a large medium.
