Crazy lace is known for its striking colours and intricate patterns, which form as different minerals come together as the agate crystallises.
It's widely used for decorative purposes and its metaphysical healing properties. It comes almost exclusively from Chihuahua, Mexico, and is mined in a desert area located 6,200 feet above sea level.
Crazy lace agate occurs in limestone believed to date back to the Cretaceous Period.
