Agate Spheres - AAA Grade - From Brazil
Three highly polished, high-grade agate spheres with a deep reddish-brown colour and distinctive banding.
Agate can be an exceptionally colourful stone that's often, but not always, characterised by concentric bands.
A variety of the mineral chalcedony, it's a relatively tough stone whose layers can be translucent to opaque.
Although agate is commonly found in white, grey, black and other neutral tones, it can also be exceptionally colourful. Its colour comes primarily from trace minerals and microscopic mineral inclusions.
These three agate spheres were individually chosen for our collection. Each piece comes with a polished hematite ring, which makes an ideal stand.
