K2 Stone - Premium-Grade Crystals
K2 stone is a distinctive, natural stone found on K2, the world's second-highest mountain, close to the border of Pakistan and China.
It's best known for a distinctive blue mark that can resemble blue dye. Scientific analysis has shown this inclusion to be azurite.
We chose a premium-grade K2 tumbled stone on this occasion because most feature some azurite, and it's these distinctive blue marks which make the stone popular.
Unfortunately, in the rough material, the inclusions are random. Therefore, not every K2 tumbled stone can feature blue spots. So, to meet demand, some distributors are now sorting stones with visible markings, which leads to increased wastage, which in turn, pushes up the price.
In the past, when preparing customer orders, we have only selected K2 stones with blue markings, so have been left with a small quantity that don't have any blue. These stones are currently being offered at a discounted price. They're listed here.
Please note that if buying a quantity of these K2 stones, one or two may not be included with azurite.
These premium-grade K2 tumbled stones are a medium-size, but can vary from piece to piece. Some stones are on the smaller size.
