Chrysoprase's colour can vary depending on where the stone is mined. The shade of green in our chrysoprase tumbled stones from Tanzania is far more subtle.
The dark markings in chrysoprase are usually remnants of the matrix or host rock. Some stones may also have brown inclusions caused by iron staining.
Chrysoprase should not be positioned in direct sunlight because, over long periods, the colour can fade.
These chrysoprase tumbled stones are larger sizes, but as with all stones produced in a rock tumbler, size can vary from piece to piece.
