Pietersite Pendant in Sterling Silver

Highly polished pietersite gemstone mounted as a pendant in a handmade sterling silver setting.

Pietersite is a relatively rare and beautiful mineral that can only be found in Namibia. Although once also mined in China, the mines have been closed for many years due to flooding.

Pietersite is often likened to the mineral tigers eye. Despite sharing many similarities it formed under very different geological conditions.
