Polychrome Jasper Cabochon Finely Polished
A beautifully polished greenish-brown coloured polychrome jasper cabochon.
This relatively new find from Madagascar is also known as desert jasper. It was discovered as recently as 2006.
Having been cut as a cabochon this polychrome jasper stone has a slightly rounded top and flat base.
Being highly polished the top exhibits a vitreous lustre. The base has only been lightly polished so has a dull lustre.
