These large Kambaba Jasper cabochons have been beautifully polished to a vitreous lustre.

The backs of the stones have been smoothed but are unpolished.

The size and exceptional finish of these Kambaba Jasper gemstones make them particularly striking.

Kambaba Jasper is found in a small area of Madagascar called Kabamba, located in the west-central Bongolava region.

The trade name Kambaba Jasper is geologically incorrect because the stone is not a true jasper.
