Exceptionally Sparkly Pyrite Mineral

Pyrite also known as iron pyrite is a chemical compound of iron and sulphide. It's one of the most common sulphide minerals.  This group is made up of inorganic compounds that contain sulphur and one more chemical element.

Pyrite contains a high percentage of iron and is relatively common.  It can be found in many geological environments.

This rough pyrite mineral sparkles incessantly as it reflects light from every angle.  Sadly capturing sparkle in a photograph is not easy.   

Pyrite should not be allowed to get wet and is not suitable for a humid environment.
