The name 'pyrite' comes from the Greek word ‘pyr’, meaning ‘fire,’ because when struck with a hard stone or steel, it produces a spark.
Since antiquity, pyrite has been used to light fires.
These cube-shaped pyrite crystals are medium-sized tumbled stones, but size can vary from piece to piece. We also have a limited number of oblong-shaped pyrite tumbled stones that are no longer being produced.
