Fine Grade Rough Kyanite Crystals
Rough kyanite crystals from our collection of rocks and minerals.
Kyanite is an unusual mineral because the hardness is different across the width and length of the same crystal.
When tested lengthways it grades between 4.5 to 6 on Mohs scale. Across the width it's 6 to 7.
Although relatively hard kyanite crystals are brittle so must be handled carefully.
Tiny specs of silvery-white mica tend to remain on your hand after handling these crystals.
These bladed crystals are rough and unpolished.
Each piece in the dropdown list represents one single piece. Only one of each piece is available so please do not increase the quantity of any one bladed crystal.
To give you an example of size/weight, the piece of kyanite in photo 3 weighs 25.5 grams. The piece in photo 4 is 12.9 grams and the piece in photo 6 is 7.3 grams.
