Miniature Tigers Eye Polished Sphere
Fine-grade, mini tigers eye spheres cut from material mined in South Africa. Both exhibit chatoyance, an optical phenomenon often seen in this popular variety of quartz.
In recent years, there has been some concern regarding the presence of asbestos in tigers eye. Although asbestos is present, it's encapsulated deep within the quartz so poses no risk.
Tigers eye is completely safe to handle, but as with any rock or mineral, when being cut, appropriate breathing protection must be worn.
Both tigers eye spheres are a small size, but one is slightly smaller than the other.
