Ocean Jasper Sphere from Madagascar
Ocean Jasper is a relatively rare stone from Madagascar.
By 2006 there virtually no material from the original deposit left to mine. Other small veins were subsequently discovered, but all known deposits are now considered mined out.
This Ocean Jasper sphere has been finely polished but has some natural indentations in the stone.
The colour of the sphere varies from grey to bluish-grey to subtle green.
