Sodalite Tumbled Stones - Inky-Blue Colour
Finely polished sodalite crystals with greyish-white markings. These inclusions may be impurities of calcite, feldspar, or possibly both.
We also have sodalite crystals with an orange inclusion, which recently acquired the trade name Sunset Sodalite. It was known originally as orange sodalite.
The grade-A blue sodalite in our collection is virtually inclusion-free.
Bancroft Ontario, Ice River British Columbia, Litchfield, Maine (USA) and Brazil have the world's largest commercial sodalite deposits. Smaller quantities can also be found in Greenland, Russia, Montana and India.
These medium sodalite crystals are from Brazil. Size can vary slightly from piece to piece.
