K2 Tumbled Stones - Reduced
K2 stone is a fascinating material named after the world's second-highest mountain. K2 is part of the Karakoram Range, close to the border of Pakistan and China.
These highly polished K2 tumbled stones have been reduced because the blue markings from azurite are less prominent. Some stones have no visible azurite at all. Subject to availability, we will try to use the most striking stones that we have.
Unfortunately, in rough K2 stone, the azurite inclusions occur randomly, so when the stone is tumbled, not every stone can feature these blue marks.
Some distributors are now sorting stones to ensure that as many as possible show some azurite. However, this leads to a significant amount of wastage, which pushes up the price.
These K2 tumbled stones are the first batch we bought. We also have K2 tumbled stones with distinctive azurite inclusions, which can be found here.
