Small Lepidolite Sphere
These natural AA-grade lepidolite spheres have been finely polished and boast excellent colour.
The sphere on the left is slightly heavier but only marginally larger. Both were cut and polished by hand, from lepidolite mined in Brazil.
Lepidolite is a lithium-rich mica mineral. Mica is a group of minerals also known as silicate minerals or sheet silicates, because they form in distinctive layers or sheets.
Mica minerals are soft and fragile, so must be handled carefully.
