Ontario, British Columbia, Maine in the USA and Brazil have the world's largest sodalite deposits. Smaller quantities can be found in Greenland, Russia, Montana and India.
This fine grade sodalite gemstone features colourful orange inclusions which may be calcite or feldspar. Some geologists say it could also come from some kind staining or oxidation.
