Rainbow calsilica is a colourful man-made material.

A slightly larger stone mounted as a necklace pendant in fine sterling silver.

Rainbow calsilica is a unique material believed to be produced in Chihuahua, Mexico. It's sometimes mistaken for fordite, which is old car paint that has hardened enough to be cut and polished.

Those behind the manufacture of rainbow calsilica tried to pass it off as a natural stone.

Rainbow calsilica is still widely manufactured, but it mostly used for jewellery.
