Colourful Noreena Jasper Pendant
Highly polished noreena jasper pendant crafted in a fine sterling silver setting.
Noreena jasper is a variety of mudstone from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The stone's colour comes from iron oxides. The Pilbara region is well known for its red coloured earth.
Very limited information exists regarding the chemical composition of noreena jasper. It appears to be almost identical to Munjina Stone which is mined by an Australian rock dealer. The exact location of the deposit however has been kept a well guarded secret.
Munjina Stone is believed to be 2,765 to 2,687 million years old.
