Kambaba Stones from Madagascar
Four striking kambaba stones cut as cabochons, highly polished on both sides.
Kambaba jasper as this material is also known comes from Kabamba in Madagascar. It has not been found anywhere else in the world.
It takes on a high polish and is widely used for decorative purposes.
These four cabochons are grade A stones.
Note 1
Stone 4 has a couple of natural indentations which have not been polished out. They can be seen in our second photo. The indentations are on the two edges facing the camera. One is on the forward left corner, the other is slightly above centre on the right edge.
