Detail

Chunky Amethyst Geode - Uruguay

An impressive amethyst geode piece with rich, purple-coloured, translucent crystals.

Some iron staining is visible, which occurs when iron from the surrounding rock settles on the crystal surface during formation. This is typical of many natural amethyst geodes.

Some of the world's finest amethyst geodes come from South America, particularly Brazil and Uruguay.

All of the geodes in our collection have been individually chosen.

Amethyst should always be positioned away from direct sunlight.
