Natural Peridot from Pakistan
Raw peridot stones in smaller sizes.
Peridot, a variety of the mineral olivine, is the birthstone for August. It's one of only a few minerals that occurs in one colour.
The shade of green can vary depending on the amount of iron present. The colour of peridot ranges from deep green to brownish-green to yellowish-green.
Peridot forms much deeper in the Earth, in the upper mantle, which lies approximately 22 to 255 miles beneath the crust. It reaches the surface through volcanic eruptions or tectonic activity, which is why flaws are common and stones tend to be relatively small.
This raw peridot has been washed but is otherwise relatively untouched. The stones vary in size but are mostly small or very small.
Orders are put together carefully and will include a mixture of sizes.
