Sodalite often features white, grey, or orange markings as veins or patches. The stone with distinctive orange inclusions, once known as
orange sodalite, has recently acquired the trade name 'Sunset Sodalite.'
Because of its similarity in colour, sodalite is sometimes used to
produce fake lapis lazuli. Sodalite is more widely available and also cheaper.
Sodalite is mostly used for decorative purposes and its metaphysical healing properties.
